One year now at TownsWeb
I left RS just over a year ago now and I though I’d write a little about how I’m getting on at TownsWeb.
I’ve had a great time in the last 12 months. I learnt PHP properly (not the learn-a-you-go way I was doing before) at a course in Wiltshire and I have put it to good use developing a number of web applications, both at work and at home.
I’m still a big fan of the osCommerce project and have built 2 installations since I joined the company. The most recent for Apple Bottoms UK which will go live before the end of thsi month. In fact, processing the images for that store has been enjoyable to watch, as you can see below.
The main application I am developing is entirely from scratch and has allowed me to learn all aspects of Web Application Development including the log-in script, user privilidges, action logs, uploading of images, dynamic resizing and editing of images and more and more. With bigger web projects coming up (both at work and my own little schemes!) I’m looking forward to continuing at TownsWeb for some time to come.
In an effort to give you a little insight into my work, I’ve included images of my drawers (ooh er!) and my latest direct report, Megatron.
I hope you enjoy!
